Vikings 37 Blackheath II 7

30.1.10

A convincing win but the game was much harder than the final score suggests. Blackheath took a 7-0 lead after breaking out and countering for a length of the pitch try when Richmond looked to score from a driving maul. Richmond came back with 3 tries to take a 17 -7 half time lead.

The second half continued to be played at a fast pace, Blackheath had their share of possession but resolute defence kept them out and Richmond took their chances to score 4 more tries and run out 37-7 winners.

Farewell and best wishes to Phil Jones who leaves for Texas, we hope to see you back in a Vikings shirt on your return. Welcome back to long term absentees Adam, G and Conor.
