This week’s topics: Games Branch Office Mini Matters – Mini Festival 21/3/10 ELRA refereeing courses Memories & Memorabilia Results This Saturday 20th February the FIRST XV travel to Kent to play Westcombe Park KO 2pm. The coach will leave the ground at 10.45am and if you want to be on it please let me know by return. For those making their own way there directions can be found here
The VIKINGS play Cinderford away KO 2.30pm, the SAXONS are at home to Chinnor II KO 2pm, the BARBARIANS are away to London Welsh Wizards KO 2pm and the HEAVIES entertain London Welsh Vets also KO 2pm Next Saturday 27th February the First XV are back home to Clifton but kicking off at the earlier time of 2pm to accommodate the England v Ireland International down the road KO 4pm. There will be the usual pre match carvery (£20/head which does not include match entrance or programme) but sitting down at the earlier time of 12.30pm and if you wish to book a place we would appreciate knowing sooner rather than later. On Sunday there are no WOMENS games. The COLTS are through to Round 4 of the National Colts Plate Competition and play Tring at home KO 2pm and all support would be much appreciated There are no YOUTH games. The MINIS are either entertaining Rosslyn Park & Effingham at home from 9.30am to 11.30am or are at the Guildford C Festival so if you do not know where you should be then check the website or contact your age group manager. BRANCH OFFICE The Branch Office will be open for the Ireland game on Feb 27th in the Cardinal Vaughan Car Park from about 1pm offering suitable refreshment for a donation to the cause to those members lucky enough to be going to the International. The Richmond flag marks the spot and you can be sure of a warm welcome both before and after the game. MINI MATTERS Mini Festival 21st March 2010 The annual Mini Festival is only a month away when hopefully the current winter weather will be a distant memory! Referees ELRA Courses For those of you who wish to help in the up and coming Mini Festival season by refereeing then please note that there are 2 ELRA courses coming up on 28th February and 7th March. RESULTS last week Richmond 20 Southend 30 Vikings 34 Tring II 10 Saxons 39 Bournemouth II 13 Heavies 58 Barnes Vets 7 Youth - U15A 19 London Scottish 12 (sweet!) Minis – congratulation to the Under 12s who entertained touring side Macclesfield last Saturday and proved that southerners are not the girly players that the opposition were obviously expecting by beating them 17 – 0!
