James Brooks

After having spent two seasons at Richmond FC coach James Brooks has been offered the opportunity to coach full time abroad. Richmond has agreed to release him with immediate effect to take up this opportunity. James will however be leading the Richmond Pre-Season Kids Camp on August 28-30th. The club would like to thank James for his contribution and wish him all the success in the future.
Director of Rugby Steve Hill added; ‘Brooksy has been an important part of the coaching team over the last two years and has really developed as a coach. I wish him all the best in his new role.’

Annual subscriptions became due on 1st June and our thanks to those of you who have paid promptly. For those of you that have yet to get round to that piece of paper at the bottom of that pile, we are delighted to advise that Richmond has moved into the digital age allowing you to complete your membership/season ticket application on line and to pay by Direct Debit annually, both of which will make life simpler for you and your club. Other summer dates to remember

Mini/Youth August Pre season Training Camp
As the long summer holidays begin please remember the pre season summer camp we are intending to hold on Tuesday 28th, Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th August. Run once again by James Brooks, First XV player and coach, the focus will be on preparing the boys/girls for the new season ahead with hopefully a couple of International players coming along to share their skills.
The intention is to cater for all age groups from Under 6 to Under 17 although that range will of course depend on take up. So perhaps an ideal opportunity for an age group to get together and make a block booking (I am always open to discount discussions!) to take advantage of the very high level of coaching skills that Mr Brooks and his team bring to the party. Having helped the First XV reach National 1 speaks for itself I feel!
The cost is £25/day/child (siblings get a 10% discount) with a discount for 3 days of £70. You can come for one day or all three - we do something different every day. You do not have to be a Richmond member as the camp is open to all boys and girls so friends are very welcome.
Registration is at 9.30am and a packed lunch will be needed plus plenty of drinks as well as clothing suitable to the weather and boots and trainers plus mouth guards where necessary. Collection is at 3.30pm.
To book please contact Jen or Carly on 020 8332 7112 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Book your travel to away matches through easyfunding
From examination of the Fixture list for the new season it will become apparent that the First XV will be making quite a few forays into northern parts, the first of which will be on 22nd September when they visit Sedgley Park in Manchester KO 2.30pm.
The team are travelling by train (9.40am from Euston returning 18.55pm from Manchester Piccadilly) and I would encourage any supporter that wishes to make the trip to book sooner rather than later to secure the best price.
Virgin trains are the carrier and if you book on line through easyfunding (click here) then you earn 1% of your fare for the club – so please do make a note for future reference
