Richmond FC announced today that for the 2022-23 season No 8 Mark Bright will captain the 1st XV. Mark Bright has gained over 200 appearances in the Championship and ended last season as joint top try scorer.

Director of Rugby Steve Hill said ‘Mark stepped into the captaincy role last season when Cam Mitchell was long term injured and he did a fantastic job. Mark has huge experience playing and leading at this level. He leads by example at training, in the gym and on match day and we are really pleased his has agreed to take on this position.’

Mark Bright commented; ‘It's a privilege to be named captain for this coming season. Cam has been a great leader and player for a number of seasons for Richmond so hopefully I can continue that this season'.
