The season so far has been an amazing success. We currently sit top of Championship South, five points clear of second place with a game in hand. This Sunday, we return to the RAG for a top of the table clash against Old Albanians - a fixture that promises to deliver a thrilling afternoon of rugby.

Recent seasons have shown just how tight the competition is between us, with Old Albanians claiming the Championship title last year. That’s something we’ve certainly had in mind, and we’re determined to put it right this time around.

This season, I believe we’ve truly established our identity as a team. We’re in a strong position, blending experienced players with exciting young talent. The hard work and commitment shown by everyone - both on and off the pitch, have been central to securing our place at the top of the table. Our pace and attacking firepower, combined with a solid defensive foundation, have given us the platform and consistency needed to perform week after week. That consistency has often translated into bonus-point victories and performances that last right through to the final whistle.

That said, we know Old Albanians are a well-structured and resilient side. They’ll arrive with a strong squad and clear intent to disrupt our momentum. Their tactical kicking game, breakdown efficiency, and set-piece strength make them formidable opponents. They’re also clinical when capitalising on mistakes and building pressure, so maintaining our structure and focus throughout will be crucial.

Sunday is a huge opportunity for us to reinforce our position at the top of the table and show exactly what we’re about. Our forwards’ set-piece stability and physicality at the breakdown provides a strong platform to control territory and possession. When that is combined with the skill and power of our back line, it creates an exciting brand of rugby - one we’re looking forward to showcasing this weekend.
