England vs Canada – Women’s Rugby World Cup Final Watch Party

The stage is set. England’s Red Roses are just one match away from World Cup glory, as they prepare to face Canada in the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final this Saturday, 27th September at 4:00pm.

If you’re not heading to Twickenham, join us at the Richmond Athletic Ground where we’ll be showing the match live on the big screens in the Murray Judd Bar, the historic birthplace of the Women’s Rugby World Cup.

Timings:
• 12:00pm – Bar opens
• 12:30pm – Bronze Final: New Zealand vs France
• 2:00pm – Ian Williams Memorial Match: Oxford University vs Richmond XV (on pitch 3)
• 4:00pm – The Final: England vs Canada, live from Twickenham Allianz Stadium

England secured their place in a seventh successive final after Ellie Kildunne marked her comeback with two tries in a hard-fought semi-final victory over France. Canada await in the 82,000 sellout at the Allianz Stadium, having stunned defending champions New Zealand in the semi-final.

And there’s no better place to watch it than the Murray Judd Bar, where the Women’s Rugby World Cup story began thanks to four Richmond Rugby pioneers who helped establish the competition back in 1990, Sue Dorrington, Alice Cooper, Mary Forsyth and new President of the RFU, Deborah Griffin.

Women’s Rugby World Cup Pre-Final Party – Thursday 25th September.

Ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham on Saturday 27th September, we’re also bringing together Richmond Women, past and present, for a special World Cup Pre Final Party evening. Join us for a night of conversation, celebration, and community, with drinks, street food, music and more.
• Tickets: £10 per person
• Doors open: 6:30pm | Bar closes: 10:30pm
