Richmond Athletic Ground is looking for a skilled and dedicated Groundsperson to join our grounds team. Our 26-acre site hosts seven natural turf pitches and a variety of sports and corporate events throughout the year, providing a dynamic and rewarding working environment.

As a Groundsperson at Richmond, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our pitches and estate, ensuring that players and visitors have excellent facilities. The role requires experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

What the role involves:

• Preparing and maintaining natural turf pitches for rugby and other sports.
• Keeping the surrounding estate safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.
• Applying turf management practices, including winter pitch maintenance.
• Operating machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Working flexibly to meet seasonal and event demands.

What we’re looking for:

• NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management (minimum).
• Experience maintaining winter sports pitches.
• Spraying certification is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and teamwork.
