The former leader of Hounslow Council has received an MBE in this year's New Year's Honours list.

Steve Curran, who announced this March he would step down to receive treatment for cancer, was awarded for services to Local Government and to the community in Hounslow.

Steve is a long time supporter of the club and mini/youth dad to Sam Curran from under 6's right through to senior men's, where Sam went on to play for the Saxons and Vikings.
