Proposed President Bio: Jim Kottler

I joined Richmond FC upon leaving University in 1994. My father also played for the club in the 1960’s, and I was proud to follow him into the colours. I worked my way up from Dave Rollitt’s Norman’s team, getting my first game in the firsts in February of my first season. I was lucky enough to play in the reran, which got promoted to Division 2 in 1996 when the game went professional. After three years of professionalism, I was in Cuth’s squad of under-21s, old campaigners and new faces who ultimately had 82 (I think) unbeaten league games. Then the heavies beckoned, for whom I still occasionally turn out. I was also one of the member-elected directors for four years, so I understand some of the inner workings of the rugby club. I would be immensely proud to represent this incredible club as President. I commit to listening to all voices around the club and to doing my best to promote Richmond as a model community club. I'll try to leave the shirt in an even better place.
