Now in its sixth year, the Lunch has become one of the club’s standout events, bringing together players, supporters, sponsors and friends of Richmond Rugby for a brilliant afternoon, all while raising vital funds for an incredible cause.
Founded in 2018 following the tragic loss of three members of the Heavies community, The Richmond Heavies Foundation was created to help prevent avoidable early deaths through cardiac screening, mental wellbeing support and health awareness initiatives.
The Foundation’s impact continues to grow:
• Over 1,000 cardiac screenings delivered
• Mental wellbeing support provided to more than 2000 members of the rugby community
• Defibrillators installed in more than 60 rugby clubs and public spaces nationwide
Hosted by Richmond favourite Mark Duden-Smith, this year’s Lunch will also welcome Wales and British & Irish Lions legend Jonathan 'Fox' Davies, alongside RFU President, Richmond secretary and women’s rugby pioneer Debs Griffin. With more speakers to be announced.
As ever, guests can expect a fantastic afternoon of great food, stories, entertainment and fundraising, all in support of the Foundation’s life-saving work.
