Richmond have named an exciting 23-player squad for tomorrow’s Championship fixture against Jersey Reds at the Athletic Ground (KO 2:15pm – Click here for tickets).

The squad features three changes to the starting XV that beat Bedford at Goldington Road last Saturday. Lock Will Carrick Smith and scrum-half James Lennon both suffered injuries against the Blues and have been replaced by Byron Hodge and Callum Watson respectively. Elsewhere, exciting centre Lennox Anyanwu will make his first start for Richmond, replacing the unavailable Ronnie Mclean.

On the bench, dual-registered prop Luke Green (London Irish) is set to make his first appearance for the club since his three caps in 2019/20, while in-form lock Sam Collingridge earns a call-up to the Championship squad. Scrum-half Charlie Gowling is also in line to make his first appearance since the thrilling win over Nottingham in Round 2.

Head Coach Rob Powell said: “We’re expecting a very different challenge against Jersey tomorrow. They play fairly direct, they have a big pack and like to power forward with their maul. We will need to make sure we are accurate both sides of the ball, stick to the areas we know we can control and front up. We will continue to play an expansive, exciting style of rugby with high tempo, but we also need to be ready to adjust our style to ensure we can deliver another positive performance.”
