Ready4Rugby Festival & Social Afternoon: Saturday 5th September
Join us at the Athletic Ground on Saturday 5th September for Richmond's Ready4Rugby Festival and Social Afternoon!
From 12pm-2pm our senior Richmond Men's and Women's sections will be competing in an internal Ready4Rugby Tournament (read more about the rules here) on Pitch 1 and the surrounding pitches. The tournament will feature all the current senior squads, including our new players and is set to be an entertaining afternoon of fast-paced non-contact rugby with the very best skills on offer. We will be following all of the latest RFU/Government guidelines to ensure a safe afternoon for everyone.
Following the tournament, we are inviting everyone to enjoy the afternoon at the venue, with Live Premiership Rugby on the TV screens in the bar, with the usual drinks on offer and food available in the canteen. Natwest RugbyForce Weekend: Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th September
We’re delighted to announce we have received a £500 grant to take part in the RFU’s Natwest RugbyForce Weekend on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September from 8am-4pm at the Athletic Ground.
NatWest RugbyForce Weekend is designed to support clubs and their communities in helping to prepare facilities ahead of the new season, by pledging funds that can be used for various projects and maintenance work.
On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September we will be using the £500 grant to help us refurbish the picnic benches at the Athletic Ground and to help cut the hedges around the venue.

Two hour time slots available on both days (you can do all day if you wish): 8am-10am / 10am-12pm / 12pm-2pm / 2pm-4pm.
Richmond Mini & Youth Season Start: Sunday 6th September
A reminder our Richmond Mini & Youth season will commence as planned on Sunday 6th September, 9:30am-11am (Minis), 11am-1pm (Youth) at the Athletic Ground.
Under 5 / Pre-School Rugby Classes: Sunday 6th September
Our Richmond Rugby Under 5 / Pre-School Classes will also kick-off on Sunday 6th September at the Athletic Ground from 10am – 11am.

Rupert Allhusen - Swimming The Channel Challenge
Get behind former First XV player Rupert Allhusen who is about to take on the biggest challenge of his life, Swimming the English Channel.
Currently on hold due to the weather conditions, Rupert is set to become the first ever prop to complete the remarkable feat!
