Saturday 23rd September - Kick off 3pm

Richmond return to the RAG this Saturday, where they will face Bishop’s Stortford in an exciting double-header. The day will kick off with our Saxons taking on their Blues, followed by the 1st XV game at 3 pm. To secure your tickets for this action-packed day, please CLICK HERE

Bishop’s Stortford has faced a similar start to the season, falling off just short in two out of the three opening rounds, which lands them in 10th position on below Richmond. Both sides sit with 8 points to their name, which will lead to a tight encounter.

Head coach Rob Powell has made five notable changes to the winning lineup from the previous week. Luke Spring steps in to start at loosehead prop, after displaying an impressive 4-try performance for the Vikings in the preceding week. Young back-row talent Lucas Schmid takes the place of the experienced Mark Bright, prompting a shift for Ethan Benson to the number 8 role, allowing Schmid to make his debut as the blindside flanker.

A significant return to the squad is scrum-half Luc Jones, who has recovered from an injury sustained in the opening round against Sedgley Park. Additionally, there's the much-anticipated return of Henry Cheeseman to the centres, wearing the number 13 jersey for the first time since 2019.

Conor Maguire and Jimmy Litchfield, both with scrummaging expertise, aim to make an impact when called upon from the bench. Providing depth in the second row and poised for his Richmond 1st XV debut is the newly signed Max Murphy. Completing the 20-man squad are our back replacements, with Matt Marsh covering at scrum-half and fly-half Tom Smith.
