Participants will take on a memorable 44km overnight journey from the iconic Tower Bridge to Richmond Bridge, crossing all 23 pedestrian-access bridges along the way. It’s a fantastic challenge set against the backdrop of London’s skyline after dark, all in support of an outstanding cause.
The walk aims to raise vital funds for the Richmond Heavies Foundation, which supports Richmond players and members, alongside the wider rugby community through a range of impactful initiatives, including:
- Heart screening for all players aged 14+
- Subsidised heart screening (£60) at New Victoria Hospital for members
- Mental wellbeing support for players, coaches, members, and their families
- Bursaries for mini and youth players requiring financial assistance
- A defibrillator fund, providing life-saving equipment to clubs in need (50+ supplied to date)
