Richmond’s U7s enjoyed a memorable day at Esher Rugby Club on Sunday, after being invited to take part in the halftime entertainment during the Esher vs Old Albanian’s men’s fixture.
The young side were involved in a Guard of Honour, with Jasper Cui proudly taking on mascot duties. Jasper was presented with a certificate and a ball to mark the occasion, capping off a special experience.
During halftime, Richmond’s U7s also faced off against Esher’s U7s in a series of games, showcasing their skills and enthusiasm. The team received excellent feedback from Esher’s coaching staff, highlighting a strong performance and great spirit throughout the day.
Head coach Lynda Nazer praised the event, describing it as “a great way to meet other coaches” and, most importantly, “a fun day for the kids.”
Well done to all involved from Richmond U7s on a fantastic outing.
Looking ahead, Richmond’s U7–U10 sides will be in action next Sunday at the London Welsh Festival, while the U11s travel to the Cobham Festival.
