After a hugely successful debut at The RAG last summer, the University Celestial 7’s is back at Richmond Athletic Ground for 2026, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.

A perfect blend of elite rugby, live music, food, drink and summer festivities, University Celestial 7’s has quickly established itself as one of the standout events in the summer.

More than 20 of the UK’s top rugby universities will descend on The RAG for a thrilling day of high-octane sevens action, including BUCS Super Rugby powerhouses such as Loughborough, Bath, Durham, Exeter and many more.

These institutions represent the very best of the university rugby pathway, and with GB Sevens scouts in attendance, supporters will have the opportunity to watch the next generation of stars before they hit the professional game.

Last year’s tournament saw numerous players get picked up into Prem, PWR and Champ clubs. Current Richmond players played a part as well, including 1st XV scrumhalf Freddie Charles fullback Archie Brosch and flyhalf Tom Howlett. University Celestial 7’s continues to prove itself as a genuine platform for emerging talent, and Richmond Athletic Ground provides the perfect stage for those future stars to shine.

University Celestial 7’s founder Joe Byrnes added:
