Richmond return to the Richmond Athletic Ground this Saturday for one of the biggest fixtures of the opening weeks of the season, as reigning Elior Champ champions Worcester Warriors arrive in south-west London for Round Three.
Kick-off is at 3:00pm, with the fixture forming the centrepiece of Ladies Day at the RAG, proudly sponsored by Nyetimber.
After opening the campaign with two testing fixtures, Richmond return home looking to put in a strong performance in front of their own supporters against a Worcester side who set the standard in the division last season.
Saturday will provide another major early-season challenge for Richmond, with Worcester travelling to the RAG as reigning league champions. Richmond will know the importance of matching their physicality and intensity across the 80 minutes as they look to make home advantage count.
The afternoon will also mark a significant milestone for two long-serving members of the Richmond squad.
Jake Monson and Lewis Dennett are both set to make their 100th appearance for the club, reaching the landmark together on home soil.
Both players have become hugely important members of the Richmond setup during their time at the club, and they will receive their 100-cap presentations after the final whistle.
There is plenty happening before the Men’s 1st XV take to the field, with the Richmond Valkyries facing Hammersmith and Fulham in a cup fixture on Pitch 2 from 12:30pm.
The fixture forms part of Richmond’s Ladies Day, sponsored by Nyetimber, with the Nyetimber Bus stationed alongside the main pitch throughout the afternoon. Supporters will be able to purchase glasses of Nyetimber Classic Cuvée Multi-Vintage and enjoy the action from the bus balcony. Guests are also encouraged to dress for the occasion.
The entertainment will continue after the rugby, with Grammy Award-winning musician Anthony Harty from The Style Council performing live in the Murray Judd Bar from 5:15pm.
With two Richmond centurions to celebrate, the reigning champions coming to town and a full afternoon of rugby and entertainment around the ground, everything is set for a huge Saturday at the RAG.
