Richmond Youth Girls U12 is for girls in Year 7 at school. We play contact rugby and develop core rugby skills in a friendly, safe and nurturing environment.
Our aim is to promote teamwork, discipline and fun through a girls-only environment.
To ensure we have enough members to enter festivals and train, we cluster our training with Battersea Ironsides & Wasps Youth U12 girls teams.

Training: We train every Sunday from 11:15am-12:45am (Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can start promptly on time).

Pitch allocations: Will vary and will be communicated internally in the week before training/ matches and will be on the white board outside the Old Pavilion on the day. There are 7 Youth age groups (Under 12, Under 13, Under 14, Under 15, Under 16, Colts, Youth Girls) and only 6 pitches, so pitch allocations will vary according to both fixtures and pitch conditions.

Pitch Map: Click here to view our pitch map.

Newcomers:  We always welcome newcomers and we offer three free trial sessions to see if your child/ you likes rugby/ us before deciding to join.

Bring a friend: If they would like to bring a friend or friends then please do encourage them to give it a go.

Club Membership: To purchase club membership please click here. For step by step guides on how to purchase your membership click here.

What do you need to bring? Boots (or trainers if the ground is hard), a named water bottle and some good snacks. As the weather gets colder base layers, a hat and some gloves. And don’t forget a gumshield!

Parent/ Guardian Involvement: We encourage parents/ guardians to get involved as we rely on volunteers to help run the club and to keep costs down. We have an active community of parent volunteers, some of whom have been doing it for years. The feedback is they find it very rewarding and often their favourite time of the week! Plus kids love showing off to their parents! If you don’t want to get involved, that’s fine too, we have a lovely coffee truck and hot food in the canteen.
