Summary and photos from our Richmond U12's tour to Northampton.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, our Richmond U12's (players, coaches and parents) headed to Northampton for their 2022 end of season tour.

The tour kicked-off on Friday evening with a trip to Franklin's Gardens to watch Northampton Saints take on the current Premiership champions Harlequins. It was a thrilling contest with Saints clinching a 32-31 win. As part of the experience, Richmond were invited on the pitch for the half-time parade and had the opportunity to have their photos taken with the players post-game (including Richmond minis product and former first-team player Louis Lynagh). Thank you to Northampton and Harlequins for the incredible experience.

On Saturday we travelled to Old Saints RFC for the Northampton U12's Cup Tournament. Before the rugby began, Coach Eddie Roberts presented each player with their freshly designed Richmond playing shirt. "Congratulations and wear it with pride" was Eddie's encouragement to each player as they collected their shirt.

The tournament kicked-off and Richmond performed exceptionally well, taking on the likes of Chelmsford, Brackley, Olney, Bicester and Newbury. It was hugely rewarding to watch our players compete against quality opposition, improving game on game and playing with typical Richmond flair.

Following the tournament, we prepared ourselves for a big Saturday evening which featured an escape room, mini golf, trampolining and then dinner (with a court session to round things off).

Huge thank you to our Richmond coaches, players, parents and volunteers for making this fantastic tour such a huge success!
